Le Domaine des Hallais

LogeLe Domaine des Hallais has been specially designed to provide high quality accommodation for groups seeking a special place to get together.

You book the entire site as a single group, and all of the facilities are reserved exclusively for you. These include the activity room; the dining room, the large sitting room and bar area; the fitness room, gardens, and pool. Two Yamaha pianos, an upright and small grand, are also available for your use.

We provide the catering, with a variety of menu options adapted to your needs and programme.

We are organised to welcome both business and holiday groups. The venue is ideal for friends or families taking a vacation in the area, or for celebrating a special event such as a birthday, wedding or anniversary with a house party. For an activity-related break, examples include music courses, miniatures workshops, painting classes, yoga courses, rock-climbing, fishing, cycling and walking. For company events, sales training meetings, language courses, team-building events, management 'away-days' or customer hospitality events centred on the Le Mans races are among the possibilities. You can download a brochure to share with members of your group.

We have seven bedrooms each sleeping 3-4 people in comfort, and each with en-suite bathroom facilities plus an additional 'dormitory' room. We can set up the activity room for crafts or business conferences, for performing groups or for a disco.

Exclusive use

We usually only take one group at a time, so your party will have exclusive use of the grounds and facilities. English-owned and managed, the proprietors live in separate accommodation on site and provide all catering services. There is ample off-street free parking on site.

Flexible catering arrangements

We can provide full board catering (including wine with the 4 course evening meal) for all groups. Alternatively, you can choose either half board (breakfast and dinner), or vary your choice each day according to your plans. Meals are usually served family style with buffet lunches and some BBQs, weather permitting. Packed lunches can be provided if required. All meals need to be ordered in advance of your arrival.

Tea and coffee making facilities are available at all times to guests, and for conferences, if some of your group are not staying overnight with us, we can still provide catering as required for them. More information is available by clicking here.

Many local activities and attractions

For those on holiday, for a break from your main activity, or to amuse spouses and families not participating in courses, there is plenty to see and do in the area other than stay by the pool! Mont St Michel, the Normandy coast, and many of the Loire Valley chateaux can be reached in a day trip, and the Le Mans racetrack and car museum are less than an hour away by car. Even Paris is accessible for the day by train! Click the "time out" tab above for more ideas.

Nearer to home there are pleasant walks along the nearby river, and many interesting places are within a short drive, ranging from pretty villages with historic churches to Roman ruins and medieval castles. Sporting events can also be organised in the local area for groups (climbing, trail bikes, orienteering, etc.). Directly on site, in addition to the ever-popular swimming pool and fitness room, we have a petanque (bowls) pitch and an indoor table tennis (ping-pong) table. We also operate a small miniatures museum with a collection of more than 40 dollhouses and room box scenes, as well as some miniature teddy bears, open free by apoointment to our guests.
