The airports at Rennes and Tours are the closest. However there are also many low-cost flights that arrive at Paris Roissy-CDG, from where you can take a fast (TGV) train to Le Mans or Laval.

By car

Le Domain des Hallais (place name Les Hallais) is located about 10 minutes from Exit 2 of the A81 motorway, approximately half way between Laval et Le Mans. Coming from the west, watch out for the new bypass around the town of Vaiges, which may not be known to your GPS.

If you are arriving from the east (Paris or Le Mans), take Exit 1 (signed to St Denis d'Orques and Thorigné en Charnie) from the A81. If your GPS directs you into the canyon at Saulges do not follow its instructions as this road is now closed to through traffic. proceed on to the small village of St Pierre sur Erve (1.1 km away) and follow the signs for Domaine des Hallais.

From Vaiges this will be the first right turn after the village recycling bins onto a road signed as Chemin des Grottes but possibly still known to your GPS as Route des Grottes).

From the east, take left at the church, go up the hill past the school on your right and take the left turn onto Chemin des Grottes (aka Route des Grottes)
